How can we improve the way we communicate to staff, our patients and the public at CWLCS? Empty How can we improve the way we communicate to staff, our patients and the public at CWLCS?

What better opportunity is there to improve the way we do things than at the start of a sparkling brand new organisation such as Central West London Community Services?

As the Interim Lead for Communications at CWLCS I've been given the chance to start afresh and come up with new and innovative ideas for getting our messages across to the people we work with and work for.

We face many challenges when it comes to communications in the NHS, especially in inner London. We have a very diverse population with many different languages spoken. We need to communicate to many different age groups. Many service users are functionally illiterate so leaflets and other printed materials are inappropriate. And different people prefer to receive their information in different ways, from emails through to good old fashioned letters and everything in between!

So, over to you - we want suggestions from you about how we can get information more effectively across to staff, patients, the general public and in particular hard to reach groups.
